The business district is entirely inside a renovated and rebuilt industrial complex along the river that preserves the natural surroundings while breathing new life into the area. The Saxapahaw General Store is the town’s iconic establishment. Part independent gas station, part local convenience store, part restaurant, residents and visitors can enjoy many food goods here, including a hearty menu, locally grown produce, locally crafted brews, and top-quality meats.

 

As you head towards the river, you’ll find many other local establishments. At Haw River Farmhouse Ales, you can enjoy locally crafted beer. The Eddy Pub is the towns other restaurant that sits near the river. A hearty menu and a social atmosphere make this pub the destination for enjoying time out with friends and loved ones.

 

Both amateur and skilled cooks will enjoy shopping at Left Bank Butchery. This local butchery offers the highest quality meats, poultry, and fish for residents to enjoy. Saxapahaw Lake is another excellent destination for outdoor lovers who simply want to explore. Fishing, kayaking, and paddle boarding are just some fun activities you can enjoy here. The much-traversed paddle trail is an excellent way for kayakers of all skill levels to enjoy the park.
